CHANDIGARH POLICE NABBED ACCUSED WITH BOLERO PICK UP AND RECOVERED 193 CASES OF ILLEGAL SUPPLY OF LIQUOR

Chandigarh police achieved major success by recovering 193 boxes (peti) illegal supply of liquor containing 2 types brand’s i.e 98 boxes of Imperial Style brand and 95 boxes of All season whisky.

Case FIR No. 27 Dt. 28.03.2025 U/S 61-1-14, Excise Act, PS-IT Park, UT, Chandigarh has been registered on the complaint of SI Mandeep Singh. He reported when he along with other police officials were on patrolling duty.

Police said, at about 5.45 AM when they reached near IT Park L/P they saw a Mahindra Bolero Pick-UP loaded truck in parking. On suspicious when they checked the truck it found loaded with liquor and on checking it was found 193 boxes which contains 98 boxes of Imperial Style brand and 95 boxes of All season whisky. Driver was asked to produce permit /license regarding loaded liquor he could not produce the same. On this the above noted case has been registered against the pickup driver and forward and backward linkages has been investigating from accused.

Under the directions of Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS, W/SSP/UT, Chandigarh and the close guidance of Smt. Geetanjali, IPS, W/SP/City a dedicated team comprising of Inspector Juldan Singh, SHO/PS-IT Park under the close supervision of Sh. Vijay Singh, DSP/N/East was constituted to solve the crime. with the tireless efforts of this team, Chandigarh Police was able to breakout the illegal supply chain of liquor by nabbing the accused before reaching its destination.

The accused has been arrested in this case.The accused identified as Ravinder Kumar (35) Driver S/o  Mahender Singh, H. No-502 Village Manana Tehsil & District Bhiwani Haryana.Previous involvement: As per record of PS-IT Park, no case has been found registered in PS-IT park accept the above-mentioned case.
