The Anti Immigration Fraud Unit reported to have arrested the king pin Parth Jani son of Deepak Kumar Jani resident of Gandhinagar Gujarat from Sabarmati Gujarat who had cheated people of Rs 2.23 crore in the name of sending them abroad.
A Case number 220 dated 12.05.2023 has been registered against him under sections 406, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B and 24 Immigration Act 1983 of IPC in Sector 07 Panchkula Police Station on the complaint of Kanav Sharma son of Munish Sharma resident of Flat No. 2 Tower No. 18 Royal State Zirakpur, Mohali in Sector 7, Panchkula.
In this case, the investigating officer Tajinder Pal Singh, in-charge of Anti Immigration Fraud Unit, said that the accused was absconding for 2 years, but after the case file came to him, the accused was arrested within a month.It is said that the main accused in this case, Parth Jani, used to charge 25 lakh rupees per case for getting visas to send people to Canada. The accused releases fake visas to about 12 people and absconded. According to the investigating officer Tajinder Pal Singh, accused has been taken to police custody for 10 days
