A delegation from the Chandigarh Beopar Mandal, comprising Sanjeev Chadha (President), Charanjiv Singh (Chairman), Raj Kishore (General Secretary), Ravikant Sharma (Former Mayor), H.K. Kakkar (Advisor), Radhey Bajaj (Finance Secretary) and Anuj Sehgal (Secretary) met with J.P. Malhotra, Chief of BJP, Chandigarh to express strong opposition to the recent arbitrary increase in collector rates and property tax on commercial properties in Chandigarh.

The delegation emphasized the urgent need to avoid imposing additional financial burdens on residents and traders in Chandigarh. In response, the BJP Chief assured that he would work towards rationalizing the increased property/house tax. CBM is hopeful that the authorities will consider its demand and roll back the increase soon, providing much-needed relief to the trading community.
