As per directions of Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS, W/SSP/UT, Chandigarh, under the close guidance of Ms. Geetanjali Khandewal, W/SP/City Chandigarh and under the supervision of Sh. Jaswinder Singh, SDPO/South a team of officials of Police Station, Sector-31, Chandigarh headed by Insp. Rajiv Kumar, SHO/PS-31, the team of Police Station Sector 31 got major success by arresting one accused namely Vivek @ Vinay S/o Rakesh R/o 712/32 BDC Sec 26 Chd, Age 20 Year.
The accused is studed upto 12th and have no previous criminal record.
(SUBHEAD)Case FIR No. 80/20.04.2025, U/S 190, 191(2), 191(3), 326(F), 351(2), 351(3) Bhartiya Nayay Sanhita 2023, PS-31, UT, Chandigarh., which was registered on the complaint of Saroj Devi W/o Jagbir Singh R/o #631, Phase-1, Ramdarbar, Chd, Age 50 Years. In which she stated that on dated 20.04.2025 at about 01:25 AM, she heard some noise outside of her house. When she and her family opened the door. They saw that Sunny S/o Subhash R/o #1026, Phase-1, Ramdarbar, Chd and 6-7 other boys were standing outside of her house and all the persons attack upon her house. All of them threatened to kill her son namely Saurav. One of them who was identified as Sunny.
During investigation, accused Vivek @ Vinay S/o Rakesh R/o 712/32 BDC Sec 26 Chd age 20 years was arrested on 20.04.2025 and on the interrogation of this accused, rest of accused who were worn the mask, have also been identified. The remaining accused will be arrested shortly.
