This initiative has been first introduced in the PM Shri Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector-14, Dhanas, Chandigarh and has garnered high praise from Sh. Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor of Punjab and Administrator of UT Chandigarh.

This change is aimed at unifying the appearance of educators, fostering a sense of professionalism, and creating an environment conducive to learning.

Gulab Chand Kataria expressed his appreciation for this initiative, highlighting the importance of maintaining a dignified and cohesive appearance among teaching staff. IMPLEMENTATION TIMELINE: The Chandigarh Education Department is committed to ensuring coverage of this initiative in all government schools before the commencement of class after the 2025 summer vacations.
