The Punjab government has taken a stern stance on the shooting incident at the home of an NRI family in Amritsar. On Saturday, NRI Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal met the affected family and assured them of justice.

(MOREPIC1)Dhaliwal stated that strict action would be taken against the culprits involved in this incident and assured action against the local SHO for negligence in handling the case. He mentioned that as soon as he learned of the incident, he spoke to the Police Commissioner of Amritsar and directed immediate action.

Boosting the morale of the victims, the Minister told them not to worry. “The Punjab government stands with you. Ensuring your safety is our responsibility, and I assure you that no harm will come to you,” he said.

He further mentioned that investigations are ongoing and FIRs will soon be registered against all the accused, followed by arrests. Dhaliwal reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the safety of all NRIs from Punjab, stating that the administration will protect their property and families in the state. “No one will be allowed to commit such acts,” he said.

The Minister said that the people of Punjab are the government’s top priority. He stated that action has been taken on every complaint received so far, and prompt measures were initiated in this case as well. Senior police officials have been assigned to investigate the matter, and all culprits will be apprehended soon.
