STUNTS BY A RETIRED COLONEL SON, CHANDIGARH CONSTABLE LOST LIFE , ACCUSED ARRESTED

Police has arrested one person in connection with a fatal incident involving reckless driving. The accused was performing stunts in a BMW car bearing registration number T0125CH1765A. Due to his dangerous and high-speed driving, the vehicle collided with the bicycle of a police constable who was on his way to duty. Tragically, the constable succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Following the incident, the driver alongwith vehicle fled away from the spot. A case has been registered under FIR No. 36 dated 12.05.2025 at Police Station Sector-3, Chandigarh, under Sections 281, 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

After a thorough site inspection, mechanical examination of the vehicle, and analysis of CCTV footage, additional charges under Section 105 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, were added to the case.

The accused has been identified as Ishan Shanker Roy, 26 years old, son of Retired Colonel Shivandra Roy, and a resident of House No. 106, Sector-26, Panchkula, Haryana. He is Master in Management (MIM). He has been arrested in this case and the investigation of the case is going on.
