ABOHAR LAUDS SHREYA’S ACHIEVEMENTS IN IRONMAN 70.3 COMPETITIONS

The Maheshwari Mahila Sangathan and other sports lovers have lauded Shreya’s achievements in the Ironman 70.3 competitions held recently at Da Nang in Vietnam.

Da Nang is consistently ranked among Asia’s best places to visit — where culture, coastline, and charm meet. From beach days to cultural adventures, Da Nang offers something for both athletes and their support crews.

The participant has to: 1st Swim 1.9 KM in open Water, then 90 KM Cycling followed by 21.1 Km Marathon- all in one go without Break.

Shreya Soni Rathi, wife of Tarun Rathi from Abohar participated in the event and ranked 8th in the world in the age category 25-28 Years. Shreya was though 1st in Indian participants but in this event, country specific result is not declared. Shreya clocked the event in 6.42 Hrs. which in itself is a very big achievement for her.

She got her training at Gurgaon in Haryana, said an old family friend Manmohan Goyal, adding that Shreya didn’t just finish an Ironman 70.3; she conquered it.

Maheshwari Mahila Sangathan president Pushpa Sharda and secretary Seema Rathi, said that Shreya’s achievement is not just her, it belongs to every heart that cheers her, believes in her and stands with her.
