Abohar’s promising judoka Vandana has been selected for the Punjab Under-18 Judo team. She will now represent Punjab in the National Ranking Tournament.
Vandana recently delivered an outstanding performance in the state-level competition, winning the gold medal in the 40 kg weight category. On the basis of this achievement, she has been selected for the Punjab team for the national competition.
Judo Federation of India is conducting the National Ranking Judo Tournament – Juniors (Men & Women) –from 13th to 16th June 2026 at Chandigarh, in association with Amateur Judo Association of Chandigarh.
The selection of the Indian Judo Teams for the forthcoming international events including Asian Junior Judo Championships and World Junior Judo Championships to be held in 2026 will be from this event considering the selection criteria.
