“APNA ABOHAR, APNI ABHA” TEAM REMOVES GARBAGE FROM OUTSIDE PARK, SCHOOLS

Raj Sadosh/Abohar.

Concerned with the hardships that hundreds of students, visitors to the main post office, JP Park and other public places were facing due to the statewide strike by safai sewaks, the “Apna Abohar, Apni Abha” team swung into action.

With the convener and MLA Sandeep Jakhar, leading the task by himself driving a tractor and riding the JCB machine, the volunteers first of all removed garbage that had accumulated outside the main post office, surrounded by BSNL, Abohar Club premises besides Govt. Model High School. Hundreds of people have also been passing through this road to go to the bank square.

The all-enthusiastic volunteers also cleared the garbage from outside the boundary wall of the school thereby giving a big relief from foul smell.

A day after, the NGO, on the request from former councilor Narinder Verma, did the herculean task of removing the garbage from outside the RSD Girls Middle School and the JP Park which hundreds of people visit twice a day. Using a JCB machine, the garbage was shifted to the main dump inside the park. The NGO has appealed to people not to throw garbage on the roadside.
