ASSAM RIFLES EXTENDS SUPPORT TO DISABLED EX-SERVICEMAN, HIS SPECIAL CHILD

Raj Sadosh/Abohar.

Assam Rifles facilitated the delivery of a specially adapted scooty to Rifleman Rajpal (Retd), a paraplegic Ex-Serviceman residing in Sikar, Rajasthan.

The assistance was initiated following a request made by Rifleman Rajpal during an Ex-Servicemen Rally held in Jaipur last month, where he met Major General Jai Singh Bainsla, SM, Additional Director General Assam Rifles. During the interaction, the veteran highlighted the mobility challenges he faced following his disability. Recognizing his needs, Assam Rifles promptly undertook efforts to provide the specially adapted scooty to enhance his mobility, independence, and quality of life.

In a further gesture of care and support, a wheelchair was also extended during the rally to Rifleman Rajpal’s daughter, who is a specially-abled child, underscoring Assam Rifles’ holistic approach towards the welfare of veterans and their families.

The scooty was physically handed over to Rifleman Rajpal at his residence in Sikar. Expressing his heartfelt gratitude, he conveyed sincere appreciation to Assam Rifles and Major General Jai Singh Bainsla, SM, for their timely intervention and unwavering support.
