Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) celebrated the 80th Independence Day at its Secretariat Office in Chandigarh with great enthusiasm, zeal and patriotic fervour. On this occasion, Shri Manoj Tripathi, Chairman, BBMB, unfurled the National Flag. All the officers and employees present collectively sang the National Song, “Vande Mataram,” and the National Anthem, “Jana Gana Mana.”
During the programme, the children of the BBMB family presented a vibrant cultural programme featuring songs based on freedom, valour and patriotism, along with captivating dance performances. The officers and employees participated enthusiastically in the celebrations and added to the dignity and festive spirit of the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, the Chairman, BBMB, highlighted the significance of Independence Day and called upon everyone to work with complete dedication, sincerity and mutual cooperation for the unity, integrity and progress of the nation. He advised everyone to continuously upgrade their skills and wisely adopt Artificial Intelligence (AI) in their official work to enhance efficiency and keep pace with changing times.
He also informed that efforts are being made for the BBMB Hospital at Talwara to be adopted by AIIMS or PGI Chandigarh. He further stated that efforts are underway to promote tourism in the Bhakra-Nangal area through the construction of a three-storey museum at Nangal.
The Chairman also highlighted that the BBMB School at Pandoh has been successfully upgraded, resulting in an increase in student strength to approximately 250.Further, while congratulating the officers and employees present, he informed that a Cashless Health Facility has been made available for the benefit of serving BBMB employees.
At the conclusion of the programme, the Chairman, BBMB, presented prizes to the children who participated in the vibrant cultural programme as a gesture of encouragement and appreciation.
