GRASS EXPECTED TO BE READY WITHIN 7 TO 10 DAYS

The GB Pant Memorial PG College ground in Rampur is set to turn green with Bermuda grass. The Forest Department started work on growing Bermuda grass at the ground using hydroseeding technology on August 20, and its efforts are now beginning to bear fruit. Employees of the Rampur Forest Circle are putting in their best efforts to give the sports ground a new look and are leaving no stone unturned in the process.
The grass is expected to be fully established within the next 7 to 10 days, which will provide better facilities and a more suitable playing surface for athletes. Notably, the 27th Annual Sports Meet of the Himachal Pradesh Forest Department is scheduled to be held at the ground from September 11 to 13. Keeping the event in view, the Forest Department has undertaken efforts to transform the Patbangla sports ground and improve its overall appearance and condition.
Cleanliness from Walls to All Around the Ground
Employees working under the Rampur Forest Circle have carried out extensive cleaning around the ground, including its walls and the entire surrounding area. Conservator of forests Rampur Forest Circle C.B. Tashildar appreciated all the officers, Forest Guards, Van Mitras and other employees who contributed their services to the special cleanliness drive.
Forest Department Appeals for Proper Maintenance
Conservator of forests Rampur Forest Circle C.B. Tashildar appealed to the people of Rampur and the college administration to ensure proper maintenance of the sports ground even after the Forest Department’s Sports Meet concludes. He said that the work of growing Bermuda grass using hydroseeding technology is currently in progress and that the grass is expected to be ready within the next 7 to 10 days.
