BJP TO HAVE FIRST MC BOARD INDEPENDENTLY IN PUNJAB’S ABOHAR

Abohar (Face2News).

The results of the local municipal corporation elections and the unfolding political developments have made it abundantly clear that the people of Abohar have given their seal of approval to development and good governance by the outgoing MC. The city’s voters have expressed deep confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Consequently, the formation of a BJP-led board, first in Punjab independently, in the Abohar Municipal Corporation, backed by a massive majority, is now fully assured. Analysts said that senior leader Sunil Jakhar’s Abohar visit wiped out the fear-psychosis that AAP leaders attempted to create and gave a big morale boost to BJP workers.

BJP has emerged winner in 28 wards, AAP in 20, Congress and independent in one each.

BJP had fielded fifty percent of the former councillors or their spouses. Setting aside the populist claims of opposition parties, the voters have chosen to endorse the tangible development works executed on the ground.

MLA Sandeep Jakhar expressed his gratitude to the people of Abohar. He stated that this victory belongs to every single citizen of Abohar. He offered special thanks to senior leader Sunil Jakhar, noting that his extensive political experience, vision, and astute leadership have infused new energy into the party cadres.
