At the call of the Brahma Kumaris’ Social Service Wing, a blood donation camp was organized on Friday at the Civil Hospital, Abohar, by the local Brahma Kumaris center on the eve of the 19th death anniversary of former Chief Administrator Dadi Prakashmani—observed as World Brotherhood Day.

The camp was inaugurated by lighting of the lamps by Senior Medical Officer Dr. Sumit Singh, Dr. Dikshi Babbar, former Mayor Vimal Thatai, Gaushala President Fakir Chand Goyal, Seva Bharati President Sunil Wadhwa, Apex Club President Sanjay Goyal Mukim, Lekhak Parishad President Raj Sadosh, Advocate Ramesh Sharma, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Dr. Kanchan Khurana, and office-bearers from Shri Balaji Manav Seva Samiti and Bharat Vikas Parishad.

Chief Guest Dr. Sumit Singh stated that the Brahma Kumaris have performed a noble deed by organizing this camp in collaboration with other social organizations. He noted that donating blood saves the lives of needy patients and is considered the supreme form of charity. He urged all eligible individuals to donate blood in accordance with medical advice.

Fakir Chand Goyal remarked that the Brahma Kumaris have been making sincere efforts for decades to transform lives across the globe. Raj Sadosh, who had met Dadi on several occasions, shared his memories and noted that Dadi Prakashmani—honored by the United Nations with the ‘Messenger of Peace’ award—was known as ‘Prakash Punj’ (Beacon of Light). She truly lived up to this name; qualities of peace, affection, and simplicity elevated her to great heights globally. Vimal Thatai said that Dadi spread the message of public welfare worldwide. Her life will serve as a guiding light for many organizations.

Rajyoga teacher BK Sunita said that when Dada Lekhraj Kriplani (Brahma Baba), the founder of the Brahma Kumaris, entrusted the responsibility to Dadi Prakashmani, there were only 300 service centers across the country; Dadi Prakashmani subsequently took this message to millions of people. BK Darshana, the center’s sub-in-charge, honored representatives from social organizations, hospital staff, and blood donors. BK Shalu applied a “tilak” to the foreheads of everyone present. Ankush Chhabra and Shyam Sunder Sachdeva served as coordinators
