The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has apprehended Principal of Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS), Nuapada, Odisha, in a bribery case.
The CBI registered the instant case on 07.10.2026 against the said accused on allegations that the accused Principal demanded a bribe of Rs. 20,000 from the complainant for recommending her name for extension of her service as Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) at EMRS, Nuapada. After negotiation, the accused agreed to accept Rs.12,000 from the complainant.
The CBI laid a trap on 07.10.2026 and caught the accused Principal red-handed while accepting the bribe of Rs. 12,000 from the complainant. The aforesaid accused has been apprehended. Further investigation is underway.
