CBI ARRESTS DELHI POLICE HEAD-CONSTABLE FOR DEMANDING AND ACCEPTING RS. 2 LAKH BRIBE

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested the accused Head-Constable, Anti Narcotic Cell, Delhi Police, Dwarka, Delhi, while demanding and accepting of Rs. 2 lakh from the complainant.

The CBI registered the case on 21.04.2026 against the accused Head-Constable of Narcotics Cell, Delhi Police, Dwarka Delhi, and other unknown persons based on a complaint. It was alleged that the accused Head-Constable and others demanded a bribe of Rs. 15 lakh for not falsely implicating her in a case. It was further alleged that the accused head-Constable directed to deliver the part payment of Rs. 5 lakh by 21.04.2026.

The CBI laid a trap on 21.04.2026 and caught the accused Head-Constable, Anti Narcotic Cell, Delhi Police, Dwarka, Delhi, red-handed while demanding and accepting of Rs. 2 lakh as a part payment out of total bribe of Rs. 15 lakh from the complainant. The aforesaid accused person has been arrested. Further, during the search of office premises, an amount of Rs. 48.87 lakh has been seized. Further investigation is under way.
