The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has completed its probe into the high-profile death case of Haryana teacher Manisha and submitted a closure report before the Special CBI Court in Panchkula on Wednesday, concluding that the death was a case of suicide.
The court has scheduled the next hearing for August 27, 2026, when it will consider the closure report and any objections raised by the deceased’s family.
Manisha’s father, Sanjay, has expressed dissatisfaction with the CBI’s findings, alleging that the investigation failed to uncover the full truth behind his daughter’s death. He stated that the family would continue its legal battle until they receive what they consider justice and satisfactory answers regarding the circumstances of her death.
Support for the family has also come from the Bairagi community, whose state president, Shiv Kumar Bairagi, said the family remains unconvinced by the agency’s conclusions and will decide its future legal strategy after the August 27 hearing.
Under legal procedure, the family can file objections to the closure report, and the court will decide whether to accept the CBI’s findings or order further proceedings.
The case has attracted significant public attention, and all eyes are now on the Special CBI Court’s decision at the upcoming hearing. The family maintains that its fight for justice will continue until all questions surrounding Manisha’s death are answered.
