In compliance with the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and the orders issued by the District Magistrate, U.T., Chandigarh, the public is advised to strictly adhere to the following:-
Only simple green crackers are permitted for sale and use.
Firecrackers may be burst only during the prescribed timings: Diwali (08.11.2026): 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Gurpurab (24.11.2026) : 4:00 AM to 5:00 AM and 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Sale and use of joined firecrackers (series crackers/laris) are strictly prohibited.
Firecrackers shall not be burst within 100 metres of hospitals, educational institutions, religious places, courts and other designated silence zones.
Purchase firecrackers only from licensed vendors. Online sale and delivery of firecrackers are prohibited. Keep children under adult supervision and follow all necessary safety precautions.
