As per directions of Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS, W/SSP/UT, Chandigarh, under the close guidance of Ms. K.M Priyanka, W/SP/City Chandigarh and under the supervision of Ms. Gurjeet Kaur, DSP, SDPO/South, Chandigarh, a team of officials of Police Station, Sector-49, Chandigarh headed by Insp. Sher Singh, SHO/PS-49, the team of Police Station Sector-49 got success by arresting lady snatcher namely Komal D/o Radhe Shyam R/o Village Atta Bhanthar, Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, Age- 26 Years and snatched property has been recovered from her possession.
It is submitted that the above said case has been registered on the complaint of Pinku Kumar S/o Birbal Mandal R/o Godown No. 07, Village- Kandala, Distt- Mohali, PB, Age 21 Years, in which he stated that he reside at the above address on rent and today he was going from Vill-Jagatpura to Sector-46, Chandigarh. When he reached Sector 48 Bus Stop Main Road from near Motor Market, Sec-48 Light Point in the meantime one lady and two boys approached him and started asking him for an address.
While asking for the address, the lady stood behind him and the two boys stood in front of him. The lady took out his wallet from the back pocket of his lower. His wallet was brown and contained his PAN card, Aadhar Card, visiting card and about Rs. 200. Out of the two boys, one boy snatched his silver locket and the other snatched his mobile phone, Redmi C-14 5G Star Light Blue Colour, having SIM No. 8360473098, from his hand. Both the boys and the lady ran away into the jungle of Sector-48, Chandigarh.
If searched now, they can be apprehended. He request legal action against the said two boys and the lady. He will identify the all three of them if they are brought before him.
During the course of investigation snatched property recovered from the possession of accused and same has been taken into police custody through seizure memo and deposited in PS Malkhana and further investigation is going on.

Komal D/o Radhe Shyam, present Address :- Village Atta Bhanthar, Unnao, Uttar Pradesh (2nd Add:- H no. 1310, Vill. Burail, CHD). Age :- 26 Years
Qualification :- Nil., Recovered Black Purse Containing Complainant’s Pan Card, Aadhaar Card, Visiting Card and Rs. 200 Cash.
Modus operandi of Accused persons:-
The accused who has been caught is part of a group of three people who have set up a makeshift hut in the jungle of Sector 50. They gather there to consume intoxicants, as they are drug addicts. They operate at night or in the evening, targeting passersby, robbing them and snatching their belongings. They commit snatching and other crimes and flee into the jungle. This is their modus operandi, doing so to fulfill their addiction.
Moreover, efforts are being made to apprehend the remaining accomplices, and they will be arrested soon. Further recoveries will be made, and the investigation is going on.
