AGAINST GANGSTER SHAHID KHAN @ MULLA REMAINED INVOLVED.

As per the directions of Sh. Rajeev Ranjan, IPS, DIG, UT, Chandigarh and Ms. Geetanjali Khandelwal,
IPS, SP Operations, UT, Chandigarh, under the close guidance of Sh. Ranjodh Singh, DSP Operations and supervision of Inspector Jaspal Singh, Inspector (Admin) Operations, team of Operations Cell achieved an major success by arresting an accused Shahid Khan @ Mulla along with one country made Pistol.

As per the directions of senior officers and keeping in the view upcoming Independence Day
Celebration-2026 & festive season, Chandigarh Police Operations Cell has intensified the checking / searching in the area of UT, Chandigarh.

On 07.08.2026, upon the secret information, a team of Operations Cell headed by Insp Jaspal Singh
(Admin OPRs) arrested an accused namely Shahid Khan @ Mulla S/o Sh. Sarwar Khan R/o Vikas Nagar, Maulijagran, Chandigarh alongwith 01 country made pistol. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 124 dated 07.08.2026 U/s 25 (1-B) (a) Arms Act has been registered against the accused in Police Station-26, Chandigarh.

During the investigation, it has been revealed that accused Shahid Khan @ Mulla is a habitual criminal and various FIRs are registered against him in Punjab & Haryana.

During sustained interrogation, the accused further disclosed that he is an active associate of Bawa
Gang headed by Abhiyas (Abhiyas has already been arrested by Operation Cell in an another Arms Act case). Further investigation is being conducted to ascertain his role in other criminal activities and to identify his associates and linkages with the gangs. The Operations Cell remains committed to taking swift and effective action against gangsters, wanted criminals and other anti-social elements to ensure the safety and security of the residents of Chandigarh.

Previous Criminal Records of accused Shahid Khan @ Mulla shows that the accused  was involved in criminal cases which were registered in  Panchkula, Zirakpur, Chandi Mandir, Lalru, Chandigarh
