CHANDIGARH UT SUB-JUNIOR ROWING CHAMPIONSHIP CONCLUDES SUCCESSFULLY AT SUKHNA LAKE

The Chandigarh UT Sub-Junior Rowing Championship concluded successfully and smoothly at the Sukhna Lake Rowing Centre, Chandigarh. despite humid and cloudy weather conditions, the young rowers displayed remarkable determination and endurance, battling the challenging conditions that made them sweat profusely throughout the competition.

The championship witnessed impressive performances across various events:

Girls’ 500m Single Scull: Ms. Yanshu perform well and clocked 2:31.02.
Boys’ 500m Single Scull: Rohit Raj emerged victorious, clocking 2:17.61.
Boys’ 500m Double Scull: The pair of Gurvinder and Pargat delivered an excellent performance, finishing in 2:48.83.

Dr. Bhagwant Singh, Observer from the Chandigarh Sports Department, was present throughout the championship and oversaw the smooth conduct of the competition.

The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Shri N. S. Thakur, Secretary General of the Chandigarh Olympic Association, who felicitated the winners and distributed prizes to the participants. He congratulated the young athletes and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in the water sport.
