CHANDRAPUR’S RUPESH KUTTARMARE SELECTED FOR NATIONAL SOCIAL ICON AWARD; SOCIAL WORK TO BE HONOURED

Among a total of 355 nominations received from across the country, the final 15 awardees have been selected, and Chandrapur’s young social worker and Gondwana University’s Best Student Award recipient, Rupesh Pandurang Kuttarmare, has been selected for the prestigious National Social Icon Award. With this selection, he has earned the honour of representing Maharashtra at the national level.

The award ceremony, organized by Youth Socialgram Foundation, will honour selected social workers from across the country. Recognizing Kuttarmare’s contribution to social service, youth participation, environmental conservation, public awareness and various social welfare initiatives, he has been selected among the final 15 awardees. In this social work, with the support of my teachers, parents, the National Service Scheme Programme Officer and Anand Niketan College, Anandwan, I have become a part of this award. Along with this, various initiatives were carried out with the support of the Youth Socialgram Foundation National Committee.

The Youth Socialgram Foundation was established in 2021, and in 2026, the organization is completing five years since its establishment. The special ceremony being organized on the occasion of the foundation’s fifth anniversary holds special significance this year.

The grand award ceremony will be organized in Delhi-NCR in September 2026. Ministers, MLAs, MPs, as well as nationally renowned sportspersons and prominent personalities from the film industry will attend the event as chief guests. In their presence, 15 awardees selected from across the country will be honoured.

By securing a place among the final 15 from 355 nominations across the country and getting the opportunity to represent Maharashtra, Rupesh Kuttarmare’s social work has gained a new identity at the national level. Various sections across Chandrapur district and Maharashtra have congratulated him on his selection.

This national honour received on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the Foundation is an important milestone in Rupesh Kuttarmare’s social journey and will inspire the youth to engage in social service.
