CIA FAZILKA TEAM ARRESTS AN ACCUSED WITH 5 ILLEGAL WEAPONS

Fazilka Police’s CIA Staff have arrested an accused with five illegal pistols and six magazines.

SSP Gagan Ajit Singh said that police party including ASI Radhey Sham under the supervision of Inspector Sunil Kumar in-charge CIA Fazilka, acting on a tip-off, raided a place near Abohar’s grain market – Ajit Nagar Link Road and intercepted a suspect, identified as Piyush Barela, resident of Mangla Puri, Palam Colony, Delhi. Five 5 pistols and 6 magazines of different brands have been recovered from his possession.

A case under Sections 25/54/59 Arms Act at Police Station City-1 Abohar has been registered against the accused and further action is being taken. The backward and forward links of the accused are being investigated.

From the preliminary inquiry, it has come to light that a case had earlier been registered on16-4-2024 under Sections 25/54/59 Arms Act, by Special Cell Delhi against Piyush Barela.

Recovery made from the accused included 1 Glock Pistol 26 Generation—4 (Austria) 9×19 with magazine, 1 Desi pistol with .30 bore magazine, 1 Desi pistol .30 Bore (Star) including 2 Magazines, 1 Pistol Tokarev (7.62×25) .30 Bore (Star) including 1 Magazine and 1 Pistol Star .30 bore including magazine.

It shall be investigated to whom these weapons were to be supplied
