DAV College of Education, Abohar, led by officiating Principal Dr. Vijay Grover, honoured some distinguished achievers in respective fields during the day-long celebrations on the National Teachers’ Day under the aegis of the Students’ Council, YSC, Alumni Association. “Ek Sham Acharya Ke Naam” featured vibrant cultural presentations. The evening’s major highlight was the conferral of the prestigious “Order of Excellence Awards” upon eleven distinguished personalities: Gurlal Singh, Seema Taneja, Dr. Sharda Nain, Sarika Goyal, Rajdawinder Singh, Romi Bansal, Amandeep Kumar, Gurpreet Singh, Deepak Kumar, Mr. Ashim Mittal and Aditi Grover.
Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented to K. L. Baghla, Ashok Kalra and Dr. Savita for their remarkable and long-standing contributions. Winners of the online competitions were also felicitated.
College magazine “Umang” was formally unveiled during the grand celebration. The successful compilation of Umang was made possible through the dedicated and tireless efforts of the Editorial Board: Principal and Chief Editor Dr. Vijay Grover, Editor Dr. Reema Pahuja, Assistant Editors Dr. Harpreet Kaur, Pearl Narang and Raj Arora. Their sustained commitment transformed a year of achievements and memories into a meaningful publication. The release of “Umang” added yet another significant milestone to the grand Teachers’ Day celebration.
