Dr. (Prof.) Parvinder Singh, former Controller of Examinations at Panjab University, has taken over as Vice-President -International Affairs, Global Ranking and Strategic Planning of Desh Bhagat University (DBU). With nearly four decades of rich experience in higher education, Prof. Dr. Singh brings extensive academic, administrative and institutional leadership experience to the university.
During his illustrious career, he has served in several key positions, including Vice-Chancellor at Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions, Chandigarh, Controller of Examinations and Dean, College Development Council at Panjab University, Chandigarh, Head of the Department of Chemistry and Principal of PPSC/ DDPI Govt of Punjab.
Prof. Dr. Singh also brings valuable international academic exposure from the USA, Italy, Canada and Australia. He holds a Ph.D. and M.Phil. in Chemistry from Panjab University and has contributed to more than 50 research papers, textbooks and scholarly publications. His achievements have been recognized through several prestigious honors, including the State Award (2024), Chandigarh Rattan, PU Distinguished Alumnus Award, Trailblazer VC Award and Progressive VC Award, Rabindra Rattan Award-2026.
