DRONE CRASHES IN FIELDS OF A VILLAGE IN ABOHAR

Raj Sadosh/Abohar.

Sensation spread across the area on Tuesday afternoon following reports of a drone crash in the fields of Tootwala village, located on the Sriganganagar Road, about 30 km from Abohar. This is perhaps the first such incident in the Abohar area.

Upon receiving the information, the Khuian Sarwar police arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area. Later, officials from the Army and BSF also reached the site and took the drone in custody for examination.

According to reports, a black-coloured drone suddenly crashed into the Kinnow orchard of a farmer named Tony, a resident of Tootwala village, on Tuesday afternoon. Farmers working in nearby fields witnessed the crash and immediately alerted the police. Station House Officer (SHO) Pratap Singh of Khuian Sarwar police station arrived at the spot with his team, secured the drone, and searched the surrounding area.

Shortly thereafter, officials from the Indian Army and BSF also arrived. After examining the drone, they took it into their custody. Police sources indicated that preliminary information suggests the drone crashed in the fields due to a technical glitch. However, officials have not yet released detailed information regarding the drone.

An atmosphere of fear prevailed among the villagers following the news of the drone crash. This apprehension stems from recent incidents where narcotics and illegal weapons were smuggled from Pakistan into border areas using drones. Consequently, the discovery of the drone in the field heightened public anxiety.
