DRUG ADDICTED YOUTH MURDERS HIS MOTHER

A youth brutally murdered his mother in an intoxicated state today afternoon in the Sant Nagar area. It is said that the said youth is known as a drug addict. On receiving information, DSP Harish Kumar and City-1 police station in-charge Maninder Singh reached the spot.

Locals said that about 80-year-old Krishna Rani has two sons, out of which the elder son, Sunil, has been a drug addict for a long time and lives with her. Younger son Vijay Kumar lives separately in Indira Nagri.

It is said that Sunil was addicted this afternoon. He quarrelled with his old mother. Seeing his aggressive appearance, she went into the room to save her life and locked it from inside. Sunil, in a fit of rage, broke the window of the room and attacked his mother, not only tore her clothes but also hit her on the head with the pressure cooker kept in the house. Hearing the noise of the woman, people gathered and informed the police.

With the help of Nar Seva Narayan Seva Samiti members Bittu Narula and Sonu Grover, the body was brought to the Civil Hospital mortuary with the help of Ladies Police. The police said action was being taken on the statements of the deceased’s son Vijay Kumar.
