EXCISE OFFICIALS RECOVERED 1162 ILLEGAL STORED COUNTRY MADE LIIQUOR OF VARIOUS BRANDS

Under the guidance and supervision of Worthy ETC Chandigarh, Sh. Nishant Kumar Yadav, IAS, and acting on a specific information received from an informer, a raid was conducted on Tueasday by ETO Ramanjit Singh and ETI Shaveen Jain at Hallomajra near Hallomajra lights.

During the raid, 1162 bottles of liquor of various brands including Royal Stag, Royal General, Imperial Blue, Tango Santra, Jameela Santra, Iconic White, All Seasons and Kingfisher beer cans etc. were recovered and confiscated. Along with this, 57 grams of Ganja was also recovered from the spot.

Further investigation is underway to trace the backward linkages involved in the case.

An FIR has been registered at Police Station Sector 31, Chandigarh under Sections 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act, Section 111 of BNS relating to organised crime and Section 20 of the NDPS Act.
