More than 15,024 students from 121 Akal Academy schools across Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan have created history by participating in the Largest Number of Schools Simultaneously Creating a Human Message Against Drug Abuse – “WE ARE DRUG FREE,” earning The Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib, its third World Book of Records recognition.

The record was created on the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, when students across all participating schools simultaneously formed the human message “WE ARE DRUG FREE”, reinforcing their commitment to a drug-free society and spreading awareness against substance abuse.

Fazilka district proudly contributed to this national achievement through these Akal Academy schools, which participated as part of the 121-school network: Akal Academy Khuian Sarwar-70 and Akal Academy Theh Kalandar- 145. Together, these schools joined thousands of students across five states in creating this historic achievement.

The campaign reflects the vision of Baba Iqbal Singh Ji, who believed that education should nurture character, values and social responsibility alongside academic excellence. Through its network of Akal Academy schools, The Kalgidhar Trust continues to empower young people to become responsible citizens and ambassadors of a drug-free India.

Gurjeet Kaur, Principal, Akal Academy Theh Kalandar, said, “It is a matter of pride that our schools in Amritsar contributed to this national achievement. Together with 121 Akal Academy schools, our students have shown that young people can become powerful ambassadors for a drug-free India.”
