FAZILKA POLICE ARREST 2 TRAFFICKERS, SEIZE DRUGS, ILLEGAL WEAPONS, DRUG MONEY ETC.

SI Gurwinder Singh of Thana Sadar Fazilka, along with the police party, on the basis of secret information, busted the drug smuggling and arms smuggling racket being run across the border and succeeded in arresting 2 smugglers.

On 13-8-2026, during a joint operation conducted by the police along with BSF, 1 drone, 1 pistol, 2 magazines and 9 live rounds were recovered from the paddy fields near village Mumbe Ke, which were brought from across the border by an unknown smuggler. A case was registered against unknown persons under Sections 10, 11, 12 of the Aircraft Act and 25/54/59 Arms Act.

Following investigation, SI Gurvinder Singh has arrested Rinku Singh alias Rocky and Teja Singh, both residents of Mumbe Ke, along with a car Hyundai i20. 2 pistols, 3 magazines, 7 live rounds, 4 grams of heroin, 2 mobile phones, drug money of Rs. 22,000 and 1 computer weight Kanda were recovered from them.

On inquiry, it has come to light that on 13-08-2026, 1 drone, 1 pistol, 2 magazines and 9 live rounds were recovered from paddy fields near Mumbe Ke, which were called from across the border by the said accused. Both the arrested accused are being nominated in the case dated 13-08-2026. The accused will be further interrogated. Recovery: 1 Zigana pistol with 2 magazines, 1 Silver Star .30 bore pistol with 1 magazine, 7 rounds (09 mm), 4 grams of heroin, 1 Hyundai i 20 car, 2 mobile phones, Rs 22,000/— drug money, 1 computer weight Kanda.
