GURU NANAK NAGAR MARKS SHAHEEDI DIHARA OF SRI GURU ARJAN DEV JI WITH SUKHMANI SAHIB BHOG

A special religious congregation was organized at Guru Nanak Nagar at Arif Ke here to commemorate the Shaheedi Dihara of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the fifth Sikh Guru revered as the embodiment of peace, sacrifice and spiritual resilience. The event witnessed devotees gathering in large numbers to participate in the bhog ceremony of Sri Sukhmani Sahib Paath performed with deep faith and devotion.

The religious programme marked the culmination of a 40-day spiritual initiative undertaken by the women members of the local Sukhmani Sahib Group, who had been organizing Sri Sukhmani Sahib Paath at different homes across the locality. The series concluded on Saturday with the ceremonial bhog attended by members of the sangat and area residents.

Addressing the gathering, speakers highlighted the unparalleled sacrifice of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji and said that his martyrdom continues to inspire humanity to remain steadfast in the pursuit of truth, righteousness and service. They lauded the efforts of the women devotees for promoting Gurbani and strengthening spiritual values within society, particularly among the younger generation.

The programme was followed by the soulful rendition of Gurbani kirtan, filling the atmosphere with devotion and reverence. An ardas seeking the welfare and prosperity of all was also offered.

To mark the occasion, a “chhabeel” serving sweetened cold water was organized for devotees and passersby, while “Guru Ka Langar” was served throughout the event. A large number of devotees, local residents and members of the sangat participated in the religious gathering and paid homage to Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji.
