IN PUNJAB SCHOOL AND OFFICES TO OPEN 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM FROM MAY 25, ANNOUNCED CMEW SCHOOL AND OFFICE TIMINGS

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday announced revised timings for schools and government offices in the state and the decision has been taken keeping in mind the rising temperatures and increasing discomfort being faced by students, teachers and employees during daytime hours.  The decision was taken amids ongoing heatwave across Punjab,

CM in his tweet on his X handler, said that from Monday, May 25 the timings of all classes in schools and work timings in government offices will be from 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

The announcement comes at a time when several parts of Punjab are witnessing extremely high temperatures. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has already issued heatwave warnings for many districts of the state with temperatures crossing 43 degrees Celsius in several areas over the past few days.
