A felicitation ceremony was organized by Jakhar Trust in honor of the frontline Corona warriors who protected humanity without caring for their lives during the severe crisis of Corona epidemic. In this grand event, dozens of activists who played important roles in the health department, social organizations and various sectors were honored for their selfless service.

The chief guest, MLA Sandeep Jakhar, who inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp, looked emotional while handing over mementos and citations to the Covid warriors. He said that when the whole world was confined in homes due to the fear of an invisible virus, then these Covid warriors of ours were standing on the streets, hospitals and crematoriums, risking their lives. The example of humanity set by them by rising above their family duties in those dire and difficult times of the Corona period cannot be explained in words. Society can never repay the debt of his indomitable courage, dedication and selfless service spirit.

Jakhar Trust chief trustee Gurbachan Singh Saran said that the main objective of this ceremony was to express gratitude to those who saved the society from disintegration during the crisis. The warriors honored at the ceremony included frontline health workers, ambulance drivers, sanitation workers and volunteers who delivered ration and medicines to the poor during the lockdown. The MLA called upon the youth to take inspiration from the lives of these Covid warriors and move forward on the path of social service. Many distinguished citizens including former Mayor, Vimal Thatai, were present on this occasion.
