Cricket legend and World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev launched the Chandigarh team for the Trinity Golf Champions League (TGCL) 2026. The defending champions, Chandigarh Titans, unveiled their new identity—GB Chandigarh Legends—at a special ceremony.
Carrying forward the legacy of the Chandigarh Titans, GB Chandigarh Legends will represent the city in TGCL 2026, entering the tournament as defending champions. The launch ceremony centered on the message: “A new name. A bigger game. A stronger legacy.” The team’s vision was also highlighted through the theme “From Chandigarh’s greens to India’s fairways,” reflecting the ambition to elevate Chandigarh’s golfing identity to a national level.
The highlight of the event was the official unveiling of the GB Chandigarh Legends identity by Kapil Dev. He remarked, “It is always special to see a team representing a city. Chandigarh has a fantastic sports culture, and GB Chandigarh Legends offers an opportunity to take that spirit to a larger stage.”
Karan Gilhotra, Co-owner of GB Chandigarh Legends, stated that the new identity reflects the team’s ambition to build a lasting sporting legacy. The team aims to forge a strong bond with Chandigarh, inspire young golfers, and promote the city’s golf culture.
Gurinder Bhatti, Chairman of GB Realty Group, noted that the new identity symbolizes Chandigarh’s ambitious goals within the TGCL. He said, “This is a moment of pride for Chandigarh and everyone associated with the team.” Sandy Lehal, golfer and co-owner of GB Chandigarh Legends, stated that the team would uphold Chandigarh’s sporting spirit alongside competitive excellence. A.J. Singh, promoter of Tynor, said that the company is supporting GB Chandigarh Legends through its sports promotion vertical, Tynor Sports.
