LADCS URGED TO COOPERATE IN MAINTAINING SOLIDARITY OF THE BAR

Fazilka/Abohar (Face2News)

The District Bar Association Fazilka has expressed a serious concern over LADCs reportedly appearing before the Courts despite the ongoing agitation/strike, being observed by all the Bar Associations of Punjab as per the Directions of the Joint Action Committee (JAC) Punjab.

A meeting of the District Bar Association, Fazilka was convened under the presidentship of Advocate Sutantar Jot Singh Gill. It was observed that the LADCs have been appearing before various Courts despite the ongoing strike, thereby diluting the collective impact and effectiveness of the movement. It was unanimously resolved that, during the subsistence of the agitation/strike, no LADC will be allowed to appear before the court and a request in this regard shall be conveyed to all the LADCs.

It was further resolved by the General House that in the event any LADC acts contrary to the resolution or fails to extend cooperation to the Bar, appropriate proceedings shall be initiated for debarring such LADC from the membership of the District Bar Association, Fazilka after issuance of a written notice and in accordance with the applicable Rules and principles governing the Association.

The General House also resolved that all LADCs are prohibited from using the chambers allotted to them by the District Bar Association, Fazilka. “Non-compliance with the resolution by any LADC shall invite strict action, leading to the termination of their membership in the District Bar Association, Fazilka.
