Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh relinquished Command of Jaipur based Sapta Shakti Command today and superannuated after an illustrious and distinguished military career spanning nearly four decades. On this occasion, the General Officer paid tribute to the Braveheart at the Prerna Sthal at Jaipur Military Station.
The General Officer is an alumnus of National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla and Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. He was commissioned into 19 MADRAS in December 1986. Over his extensive service, he has the distinction of tenating important and challenging command and staff appointments in Jammu & Kashmir and on the Western Front. He was awarded with the Param Vishisht Seva Medal in 2026, the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal in 2024, the Yudh Seva Medal in 2015 and the Vishisht Seva Medal in 2019.
Lt. General Manjinder Singh took over the reins of Sapta Shakti Command on July 1, 2024. During his tenure, the Sapta Shakti Command imbibed the latest operational doctrines, achieving a high level of synergy. The Command developed innovative techniques, tactics, as well as procedures to enhance operational readiness. Most notably, his strategic guidance during Operation SINDOOR was instrumental in evolving the formation into a modern, lethal, mission-ready force.
