A sudden and massive fire broke out late last night at a cattle feed factory on Malout Road in Abohar. The fire was so severe that it took the fire department hours to extinguish it, causing losses worth lakhs of rupees to the factory owner. The cause of the fire is believed to be a short circuit.
According to information received, Vishal, the operator of the cattle feed factory located on Seed Farm Road, said that as usual he had closed the factory at around 7 p.m. yesterday. Shortly afterward, people living near the factory called him and informed him that his factory was on fire. He then reached the spot and informed the fire brigade. Upon receiving the information, fire personnel arrived at the scene with a vehicle and brought the fire under control after about one and a half hours. Vishal said that the fire caused losses worth lakhs of rupees.
Meanwhile, local residents expressed anger over the poor condition of the lane leading to the factory, saying that the lane has been in a dilapidated state for a long time. The fire department personnel also took a long time to pass through this lane.
