MINERVA ACADEMY THRASHES ENGLISH CLUB 12-0 IN GOTHIA CUP 2026

Face2News/Chandigarh,

Fresh from winning the Helsinki Cup 2026 in Finland, India’s Minerva Academy carried its winning momentum into the prestigious Gothia Cup (World Youth Cup) 2026, crushing England’s Prep Schools Pumas Blue 12-0 in a completely one-sided contest.

The Indian side dominated from the opening whistle and stormed to a 7-0 lead at half-time, leaving the English outfit with no opportunity to recover.

The standout performer was T. Kipgen, who netted six goals in a sensational display, scoring in the 4th, 6th, 10th, 10th, 16th and 22nd minutes. Haokip added another in the seventh minute, while an own goal by the opposition in the 11th minute made it 7-0 before the break.

Minerva maintained the same attacking intensity in the second half. Potovel struck in the 24th minute, Seiminsang scored in the 26th minute, and Aswin completed the scoring in the 39th minute as the Indian champions sealed a resounding 12-0 victory.

Having recently lifted the Helsinki Cup 2026 title, Minerva Academy has made a flying start to its Gothia Cup campaign. The commanding performance against Prep Schools Pumas Blue once again highlighted the academy’s attacking prowess and reinforced its reputation as one of the strongest youth football teams competing on the international stage.
