SELECTION MADE FROM OVER 355 NOMINATIONS; AWARD CEREMONY TO BE HELD IN DELHI-NCR

The results for the fifth edition of the National Social Icon Award 2026, organized by the Youth Socialgram Foundation, have been announced. From over 355 nominations received nationwide, the selection committee has chosen 15 social workers who have done remarkable work in the social sector. One individual from each of the selected states will receive this honor. The selection process was conducted by a five-member committee led by Prof. Karan Singh, Dean of Student Welfare at Indira Gandhi University, Rewari. The committee made its selections based on various criteria, including social work, public service, leadership, innovation, and societal impact.
This year, the selected individuals are: Shiv Bandhu Dubey (Bihar), Yogi Karan (Chandigarh), Anjali Sahu (Chhattisgarh), Geet (Delhi), Akash Prajapati (Gujarat), Priyanka (Haryana), Aarti Sharma (Himachal Pradesh), Manvi Sharma (Jammu & Kashmir), Abhishek Panwar (Madhya Pradesh), Rupesh (Maharashtra), Shibani Padhi (Odisha), Aniruddh Singh (Rajasthan), Kodepaka Pujita (Telangana), Ashraf Ali (Uttar Pradesh), and Dev Singh Chauhan (Uttarakhand).
Amit Bhardwaj, Co-founder and Director of the organization, stated that over 355 nominations were received from across the country—spanning from Kashmir to Kanyakumari—in a span of just 15 days. He noted that the objective of the award is to provide national recognition and encouragement to individuals doing outstanding work in the social sector.
Yogesh Chaudhary, the organization’s founder, said, “Our endeavor is to provide a national platform to dedicated social workers who are striving for positive change in society without any self-interest. By selecting one social worker from each state, we are bringing the social transformation taking place in different parts of the country onto a single platform.” He added, “This honor is not merely an award but an initiative to inspire the new generation towards social service.” According to the foundation, the grand award ceremony for the National Social Icon Award will be held in the Delhi-NCR region.
The date and venue of the event will be announced soon. Distinguished personalities from various fields are expected to attend the ceremony. Congratulating all the selected winners, the organization’s Deputy Directors, Nahar Singh Chauhan and Priyanka Bhardwaj, stated that this initiative to honor and encourage individuals working towards social change will continue in the future.
