OLD MAN LOSES RS 87,500 IN SBI BRANCH, SUSPECT POCKETING BY TWO WOMEN

Raj Sadosh, Abohar.

Two vicious women allegedly targeted an elderly man who had come to deposit money in SBI branch at Abohar. It is suspected that two women allegedly cut his bag using a blade and decamped with cash worth Rs 87,500.

Panjpir Nagar resident Hari Chand said that he had come with his grandson Vishal to deposit money in SBI Bank. There were 87500 rupees in the bag with him. His grandson went to the corner to fill the voucher. He himself took the bag and stood in the queue. Meanwhile, two women standing behind him are believed to have cut the bag with a blade and took out all the cash and fled away. When he touched his bag to deposit the money, he came to know about the pocketing. After this, he informed the bank officials and got the cameras checked in which two women were seen with “dupatta” wrapped around their faces.

Hari Chand reached City-1 police station and demanded action from the police. SHO Maninder Singh said that the footage of CCTV cameras installed in and around the bank is being scrutinized.
