More than 1,000 participants, including soldiers, ladies, children, and NCC cadets, took part in the mass yoga session, reflecting a shared commitment towards health, wellness, and holistic well being

The event was organised in consonance with the International Day of Yoga 2026 theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing”, underscoring the significance of yoga in promoting physical vitality, mental fortitude, emotional balance, and overall well-being across all age groups.

Participants performed the Common Yoga Protocol under expert guidance, demonstrating the enduring relevance of yoga in enhancing fitness, resilience, concentration, and inner harmony. The collective practice highlighted yoga’s role as a powerful tool for fostering a healthy lifestyle and strengthening both individual and community well-being.

Under the leadership of Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander, South Western Command, a week-long series of yoga-related initiatives were organised across all stations of the Sapta Shakti Command. These events highlighted that yoga is not merely physical discipline but it’s a way of life which embodies strength, grace and determination.
