The Ld. Special Judge (POCSO Act), Jhansi, today, i.e., 22.05.2026, has convicted and sentenced the accused Ramji to Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) for 5 Years with a fine of Rs. 1.5 Lakh in Child Sexual Exploitation Material (CSEM) case.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered the instant case on 14.11.2021 against the accused Ramji based on source information alleging that a syndicate of individuals based in different parts of India and foreign countries was indulging in circulating, storing and viewing Child Sexual Exploitation Material (CSEM) through various social media platforms/groups. Such persons were allegedly disseminating CSEM by way of sharing links, videos, pictures, texts, posts and hosting of such content on social media groups / platforms and third party storage / hosting platforms.
Investigation revealed that the accused was having multiple Gmail IDs which were used to create different accounts with Pdisk (a platform similar to YouTube) under different user names. Several of these Pdisk accounts were found containing CSEMs in electronic form depicting children engaged in sexually explicit manner. The accused was using these Pdisks account for circulating / sharing porn and CSEMs and deriving monetary gain against such activity.
After completion of investigation, CBI filed chargesheet on 30.06.2022 and supplementary chargesheet was filed on 07.12.2022. Charges against the accused were framed on 20.04.2023.
The Hon’ble Court, after the trial, convicted and sentenced the accused accordingly.
