PRINCIPAL DR. REKHA SOOD HANDA ADJUDGED AS THE BEST FOR THE FOURTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR

Principal Dr. Rekha Sood Handa of Gopichand Arya Mahila College, Abohar has won the prestigious District Green Championship Award 2026 for the fourth consecutive year. The award, conferred by the National EduTrust of India, recognises the college’s outstanding contribution towards environmental sustainability, green campus initiatives, biodiversity conservation, waste management, and community participation in environmental protection. The college was also honoured with the Innovation in Environmental Practices Award 2026, reflecting the dedicated efforts of the Eco Club and its students in promoting sustainable practices and environmental awareness.

Dr. Rekha Sood Handa was conferred with the prestigious Best Principal Award 2026 in recognition of her visionary leadership, commitment to academic excellence, and remarkable contribution towards institutional growth and sustainable development.

Amandeep Kaur, Nodal Officer and Eco Club In-charge, was also honoured with the Best Faculty Award 2026 for her dedicated contribution towards environmental initiatives, innovation, and student development.
