PSFC CHAIRMAN BAL MUKAND SHARMA DIRECTS TECH UPGRADATION & BETTER MONITORING OF NUTRITION GARDENS

The Punjab State Food Commission (PSFC) today held a comprehensive review meeting with regard to the activities of the commission across various sectors.

In keeping with the ever evolving technological scenario, the meeting Chaired by the Chairman of the Commission Mr. Bal Mukand Sharma decided to go in for overhauling of the commission’s website besides the updation of the same so as to ensure that the latest info about the activities of the commission is available on the website.

While discussing the issue pertaining to the awareness film prepared by the commission regarding its initiatives, the Chairman directed that the review of the current film be carried out with a view to incorporate the multiple new campaigns that have been undertaken by the commission tp ensure food and nutritional security.

Taking into account the onset of the monsoon season, the Chairman emphasized that the Nutrition Gardens set up in various adopted schools across the State must be kept in up to date condition with proper upkeep and inspections at the regular intervals.

Among others present on the occasion included the Member Secretary Sona Thind and Members viz. Vijay Dutt and Chetan Parkash Dhaliwal.
