Rayat Bahra University (RBU) has secured the second rank among private emerging universities in Punjab and the fourth position among emerging multidisciplinary universities in North India in the university rankings released by The Week (The Week Hansa Survey, 2026). This national recognition highlights RBU’s rapid institutional growth, academic diversity, and strong student outcomes across the region.

Offering over 300 programs across Engineering, Management, Dental, Law, Pharmacy, Medical Sciences, Life Sciences, Hospitality, Agriculture Sciences, Education, Applied Sciences, and Nursing, RBU has consistently demonstrated balanced growth across disciplines. The university’s recent placement drive drew nearly 1,200 corporate partners, with the top students of B.Tech securing an average package of ₹12 Lakhs Per Annum.

Mr. Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor, Rayat Bahra University, said “This recognition from The Week is a reflection of the collective trust of our students, the commitment of our faculty, and the confidence our industry partners place in our graduates. It comes alongside our strongest placement season on record, highlighted by a peak package of ₹1.25 Crore.”

Recruitment across the campus spanned diverse sectors, including information technology, healthcare, legal services, engineering, pharmaceuticals, and corporate management, reinforcing industry confidence in RBU’s graduates. With a student community representing over 35 countries, RBU has grown into a prominent international education hub in the region.

Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Rayat Bahra University, added, “We are proud of our standing among the top emerging multidisciplinary universities in North India. Our roadmap is focused on establishing RBU as a premier destination university where global learners choose us for measurable research depth and verified career pathways.”

Beyond career outcomes, RBU’s academic framework is anchored in interdisciplinary curricula, experiential learning, and active student and faculty research. The university has invested in state‑of‑the‑art laboratories, digital learning platforms, and industry‑linked projects to ensure students bridge the gap between theory and practice. Distinguished faculty members lead research initiatives that have resulted in publications, patents, and collaborations with national and international institutions. This systematic focus on innovation‑driven teaching and global exposure has established RBU as an academic excellence hub within Punjab and the wider North Indian educational landscape.
