Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, born hundred years ago, never looks for the sunset, rather the nationalist volunteer organization always lives with the spirit of morning sun. Founded by Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, the Sangh will live with spirit and remain young forever, said Professor Rakesh Sinha.
Addressing a distinguished gathering at Shankardev Hall of Keshav Dham in Paltan Bazar of the city on 18 July 2026, the former member of Rajya Sabha, also added that the Sangh maintains adequate distance from the ruling class and its functioning is not influenced by the rulers’ guidelines.
Delivering an intriguing lecture on Param Pujya Dr Hedgewar and a century-long legacy of the Sangh, Prof Sinha highlighted a unique quality of Doctor-ji where he put himself under the wrap of the RSS. Dr Hedgewar was against the individualistic fame but the ideology of the Sangh, otherwise the entire Sangh movement could have been transformed into a Hedgewar philosophy.
The acclaimed author of two precious books namely ‘Understanding RSS’ and ‘Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar’ pointed out that the Sangh does not endorse two classes, but focuses on equality among individuals. Prof Sinha asserted that Dr Hedgewar was a man of applications and all of his activities surrounding the RSS was aimed at limitless human welfare.
\Speaking about the fate of Sanatani Hindus, he expressed anguish that the majority society of India continues to be divided in various castes, regional and linguistic differences which finally put the Hindus to suffer in their own land. Unless the mindset of Hindus is changed, a strong and well-organized society cannot be created, asserted the RSS ideologue. He also added that if a society encourages unity only because of external religious aggressions, it can never last for a longer period. Finally the social thinker viewed that every Bharatiya should realize that we are the children of Mother India and we have to move forward with this principle.
The program, organized by the Purbottar Bharat Adhyayan Samuh, was conducted by Kishor Shivam, Uttar Asom Prant Prachar Pramukh, where around hundred prominent individuals graced the occasion. Guru Prasad Medhi, RSS Mahanagar Sanghchalak also shared the dais and the vote of thanks was offered by Prof Kalpana Bora.
