SC COMMISSION TAKES SUO MOTO NOTICE IN VILLAGE JHORAD CASE

The Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission has taken suo moto notice in the case of two Dalit youths being tied with rope and dragged in the fields of village Jhorad of Sri Muktsar Sahib.

Giving information in this regard, the Chairman of Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission Jasvir Singh Garhi said that this matter has come to his notice through a news published in the newspaper, on which the Commission has taken suo moto notice and has summoned a report from SSP Shri Muktsar Sahib through SP Headquarters Sri Muktsar Sahib on June 9, 2026.
