As part of the Punjab Government’s initiative to strengthen public education, Ferozepur Urban MLA Ranbir Singh Bhullar on Friday distributed free school bags to students of various government schools across the constituency. Deputy District Education Officer Dr Satinder Singh was also present on the occasion.

The distribution drive covered students from Government Senior Secondary School (Boys), Ferozepur, School of Eminence, Government Model Senior Secondary School, Usmanwala, Government Senior Secondary Schools at Attari, Dheera Ghara, Khushhal Singh Wala, Arif Ke, Bare Ke, Kariyan Pehlwan, Khai Pheme Ki, Rajo Ke Uspaar (Gatti Rajo Ke) and Bagge Ke Pippal.

Interacting with the students, Bhullar encouraged them to remain dedicated to their studies and make the best use of the educational opportunities being provided. He said education is the foundation of a progressive society and reiterated that ensuring quality education along with essential facilities for every student remains a priority of the Punjab Government.

Highlighting the state’s ongoing education reforms, the MLA said government schools have been upgraded with modern infrastructure under the “Sikhya Kranti” campaign. He said the schools are now equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, safe drinking water, separate washrooms for boys and girls, boundary walls, smart classrooms, integrated science laboratories, interactive panels, playgrounds and modern furniture.

Bhullar said these improvements have significantly enhanced the standard of government schools, enabling them to compete with leading private institutions while providing students with a better learning environment.
