SSOC FAZILKA BUSTS CROSS-BORDER DRUG AND ARMS SMUGGLING NETWORK IN TWO SEPARATE OPERATIONS

SSOC Fazilka, during two separate operations, has recovered a total of 2.029 kg heroin, 5 illegal pistols and 5 magazines.

Acting on specific information, SSOC Fazilka along with BSF conducted a special operation in the area of BOP Kasso Ke, BP No. 183/3. During this operation, 5 illegal pistols along with 5 magazines were recovered. The recovered pistols were smuggled from Pakistan across the international border.

Acting on other specific information, SSOC Fazilka conducted another special operation in the area of Jalalabad. During this operation, accused Sajan was arrested near village Baghe Ke Uttar, Jalalabad, and 2.029 kg heroin was recovered from his possession.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the consignments of heroin and weapons were ordered from smugglers based in Pakistan and were smuggled across the border to India. Further investigation is being conducted to identify the smugglers based in Pakistan and to trace all the back and forth links.

In this regard, Police Station SSOC an FIR under Section 25/54/59 of the Arms Act has been registered against an unknown person at Fazilka and FIR No. 21 dated 7.09.2026 under Section 21/61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused Sajan Singh resident of Basti Baba Sarup Das, Jalalabad.

Further investigation is underway to ascertain the back and forth links related to the recovery and to identify all the persons involved in the cross-border smuggling network
